The Medal of Honor

Louis Hugh Wilson Jr. (Millsaps, Alpha Iota 1939) was presented the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1944 for service in World War II.  He continued his distinguished, life-time military career culminating with service as the 20th Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1975-1979.
